Elon Musk 旗下的隧道公司 The Boring Company 在洛杉矶的试验隧道即将完工，他表示，当工程完成，取得相关部门批准之后，就会向大众提供免费试乘。

As mentioned in prior posts, once fully operational (demo system rides will be free), the system will always give priority to pods for pedestrians & cyclists for less than the cost of a bus ticket.
The Boring Company 的洛杉矶隧道网计划中，第一期（下图红色部分）长 10.4 公里，将会首先当作概念实践用途，用来示范技术和进行安全测试等。蓝色的部分仍在计划，需要继续征求当地机构和大众意见，才会继续发展隧道网。Elon Musk 最近分享的隧道影片，应该只是第一期隧道的一部分，但他表示这部分会很快完成，并开放大众试乘。
目前 The Boring Company 技术方面没有大问题，只是获得市民支持和机构批准方面仍然需要更多时间。开放大众试乘有望解决当地居民的疑虑，提升隧道计划的接受度。Elon Musk 表示，隧道将让大众运输和单车优先使用，减低交通成本。如果真能成事，说不定可以有效减轻洛杉矶塞车严重的问题。
