Soon Every Smart TV Will Let You Ruin Friendships With Free Jackbox Games

GGAMen游戏资讯 19

For years, Jackbox has been the go-to party trick for game nights—no controllers, no complex rules, just a bunch of people and their phones. Games like Fibbage, Quiplash, and Drawful have become synonymous with chaotic laughter and accidental oversharing. But until now, you needed a console, PC, or at least a mobile device to host them. That’s about to change.

On March 6, Jackbox announced a new partnership with Amazon to bring its entire library to smart TVs via a cloud-powered app. The first version, planned for a Spring 2025 beta, will launch with a selection of free, ad-supported games. Over time, the full catalog will roll out under a subscription model.

image“It has always been our goal to bring these games to as many people as possible and make them as easy to play as we can,” Jackbox said in its blog post.

The move makes sense. Imagine being at a friend’s house, with no console in sight, and suddenly deciding to play. Instead of digging for HDMI cables or setting up Steam Link, you could just fire up the Jackbox TV app, sign into your subscription, and be cracking jokes in Bomb Corp within minutes. No friction, no excuses.

Of course, this isn’t just about accessibility—it’s also about reach. By living natively on smart TVs, Jackbox will leap into living rooms where casual players may never have thought to buy the games before. With free-to-play options, it’s easy to imagine the brand exploding even further, cementing itself as the digital board game of our generation.

🎮 Player Tip

Once the beta rolls out, try the free versions first to see how smoothly the smart TV integration works with your phone. And here’s a pro move: always bring a portable charger to game night—running out of battery mid-Quiplash is the real way to lose friends.
