🌍 Overseas Sales Surge
In a recent shareholder meeting, Wang Chuanfu highlighted that BYD exported approximately 90,000 vehicles in May 2025 alone, setting a new monthly record. He anticipates that "this year's overseas sales data will be very good," with expectations of continued month-over-month growth across multiple international markets.
BYD aims to double its overseas sales to over 800,000 units in 2025, up from 417,204 in 2024. The company is focusing on expanding its presence in regions such as the United Kingdom, Latin America, and Southeast Asia, where there is a growing receptivity to Chinese electric vehicles.
🤖 Advancements in Intelligent Driving
Wang Chuanfu announced that BYD will intensively launch a series of intelligent driving technologies within the next three to five years. Emphasizing safety as the core competitive barrier, he stated that each forthcoming press conference will address significant advancements in this domain.
A notable development is BYD's "God's Eye" intelligent driving system, which offers advanced driver-assistance features across various models, including affordable options like the BYD Seagull. This system is powered by Nvidia's Orin chips and includes capabilities such as highway and urban navigation assistance.
Furthermore, Wang Chuanfu has declared 2025 as the "first year of intelligent driving for all," indicating BYD's commitment to making self-driving features as standard as seat belts in the near future.
